He loves me, he loves me not ...

... He LOVES me! My poor husband is still quite ill, but to show how much he cares, he went through with our usual Thursday Night Raw (the one meal a week that he's agreed to eat raw).

As you already know, we had planned on having donuts with green smoothies (I figured we needed to lighten up the menu a little, and Matthew had yet to try one). When he said he would still go raw for the evening, I suggested doing just the smoothies, since he still didn't have much of an appetite.

But, to my surprise, he wanted the donuts, so with a shorter than expected time frame to plan and make it happen, I "baked" us a variety of small batches (I'll show you more tomorrow). He ate two of them (which he claimed to enjoy, although his taste-buds have been off) and even finished every last drop of his first green smoothie.

I'm so proud of him :-)

MmMm those donuts look delish! That's so sweet of your hubby to play along anyways. I hope he feels better soon. My fiance finally joined me in eating raw a month ago and he loves those green smoothies. :-)

You know what I love so much about your site?? That you LOVE food. So often I read sites that will list their food journal for the day and it will say "half a banana, 2 grapes and I was stuffed for the day" AAAGGGGHHHHH!!

You totally make raw life worthwhile - thank you so much, your blog is my new addiction.

I'm sorry we always get in trouble for talking about food at work, because it's so fun! Yes, the donut recipe, please? Any leftovers for Monday? I promise to tell everyone what they taste like! Glad the hubby is feeling better.
Also, I've been craving those cinnamon rolls you talk of so often. Is there a link that I've overlooked?
And when I started re-reading your older blogs again, I noticed how much prettier your cookies are looking from those first pics.

Thanks everyone for your well wishes. He's not better yet, but improving.

Donut recipes should be coming soon, although I'm not sure if they'll run here or on WLIR.

Rawbin, if I have any left, I might be able to bring you some.
